We are proposing a progressive new approach to complement and expand the role of the traditional Church. This is about bringing people together in a warm Christian environment that will be open all day, all through the week. Our goal is to be more relevant by being more relational and to provide care more practically by being more accessible. We'll have time for people, and personal attention will always be available to hear and help in Christ like ways.

We'll serve as part Sanctuary - for inspiration, peace and relaxation; part Alpha house - a first step for those who want to know the Lord; part Mission - with outreach and service to the community; and part Christian Embassy - for help and information on anything Christ like.

A warm and inviting atmosphere is crucial, so we'll be building this cafe with the charm of a big old fashioned country lodge. Drawings (Home & House pages), show the main floor opening up under a vaulted timber framed roof. A mezzanine floor with two large upper rooms will overlook a sunken rotunda area with fireplace. Loads of plants and trees, real and unreal, will surround a variety of tables and sofas creating a lush atmosphere. A rumpus room in the basement will be available for childcare. A large covered verandah decorated with patio lanterns and pin lights will wrap around the House providing enchanting summer seating.

This will be a place where worlds will come together. For the Christian world this will be a great gathering place. For the secular world, this will be a timeless place, with such a wonderful atmosphere that they will come despite the fact it is Christian. We won't violate anyone's personal space or thump the bible on any heads and so we'll become known as safe and approachable. Our objective will be to stay out of God's way letting Him have the agenda. A cozy gathering place like this will bring together people of all walks of life, through a common delight in simple personal and social pleasures. (Getting Together page).

In real estate the catch words are; location, location, location, and we have one in mind which will create the best possible ambiance while providing a tremendous support base. It's near a Provincial park that will provide a country in the City type setting. It has excellent access with close proximity to many Churches, a Christian college, and major shopping and entertainment complexes. (Business page).

Music (Music page), will be a subtle, but very important part of this Ministry. Music reflecting the heart of God will minister overall helping us to personalize His presence. A stage area will be used frequently for gospel gigs and performance arts. Saturdays nights may be live band night. The artistic talents of creative people will be displayed all through the building. A free library will recycle used Christian books and publications. A small retail corner will sell assorted knickknacks.

The best fresh roasted coffees, teas, and fresh juices as well as assorted light meals will be menued. Health foods will be created from the highest quality food stuff, but it may also be necessary to barbecue steady.

Community and House initiated small groups will be able to develop regular schedules, attending on a given days, week after week. Senior bible students could develop practical leadership skills working here and perhaps a credit program could be set up with a College for teaching and leading small groups. House emphasis will be on some of the less taught intellectual reasons to believe (Timing page), including scientific arguments for creation, the historicity of Christ, prophetic and archaeological evidence. These drop-in sessions would be open for anyone, providing immediate connection opportunities.

A complete city wide data base of Christian Ministries, Ministry opportunities and up coming events will be monitored so we can plug people into more specific Christian needs or interests. In this rich and diverse community we need to know what’s happening out there. A prayer box will be set up for those requesting help or prayer and a workstation will always be open with someone to talk to. God squads will be set up and sent out to those who need work done or prayer. We'll develop a special and unique connection to the community by meeting people where they are, both physically and spiritually.

A compassionate, upbeat Christian identity will be nurtured here and a searching secular world will find it’s easygoing, spiritual atmosphere engaging.
